Yields1 Serving
 2 15 Oz cans Zivad brand chickpeas or 1 29oz can
 ½ tsp salt
 12 Juice of 1-2 fresh lemons
 ½ cup Zivad brand tahini
 1 clove of garlic (optional)
 34 ice cubes
Garnishes
 Sultan extra virgin olive oil
 Ziyad brand ground paprika
 Ziyad brand ground cumin
 Serve with Ziyad brand pickles, olives, and enjoy with pita bread

Strain chickpeas and reserve chickpea water.

Transfer chickpeas to a food processor or a high-speed blender. Remove chickpea "skin" for a smoother hummus (optional). Blend until smooth.

Scrape the sides, add tahini, salt, lemon juice and garlic if using. Process again until smooth. Add 3- 4 ice cubes (optional), process once more. Taste and adjust the seasoning.

Note:

If the hummus is too thick, add a little bit of the chickpea water one tablespoon at a time and process until you reach the desired consistency. Transfer hummus to serving plate, swirl the top, add olive oil, a sprinkle of paprika and cumin.
Store in the fridge.
