Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breast – cut into bite size pieces
  • ½ cup ziyad brand yogurt
  • 1 juice of one lemon
  • ½ cup sultan extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp ziyad brand tomato paste
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp ziyad brand shish taouk spice blend
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, lemon juice,olive oil, Tomato paste, garlic, salt and spices. 

Add the chicken to the marinade, and toss to combine. Cover and refrigerate for few hours or overnight.

Step 2

Transfer the skewers to a preheated grill to 350ºF

Step 3

Grill the chicken for 8-10 minutes, rotating half way through. The chicken is done when the internal temperature reaches 165ºF.

Step 4

Serve with grilled tomatoes and onions. Place inside a pita as wrap or top a salad. Delicious with ziyad brand pickles, hummus or baba ghanouj served on the side.

Recipe note: You can substitute any of the herbs to your liking.
