Thick slices of bread are topped with a lightly sweet egg-yogurt custard infused with delicate Ziyad Brand rose water, then baked until golden and finished with fresh berries, honey, cinnamon, and crunchy pistachios. The perfect cross between breakfast and dessert with minimal effort and maximum flavor.
Directions
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2:
In a bowl, whisk together the yogurt, rose water, egg, honey, cinnamon, and cardamom until smooth.
Step 3:
Press down the center of each slice of bread slightly to create a well, then spoon the custard mixture into the center.
Step 4:
Top with berries and bake for 10–13 minutes, until the custard is set and the bread is beautifully golden brown.
Step 5:
Finish with extra honey and chopped pistachios before serving.
